buildTimeoutKillNotice
buildTimeoutKillNotice(
command,timeoutMs,ceilingMs):string
Defined in: packages/agent/src/tools/GthDevToolkit.ts:180
[[EXT-125]] — the tail appended to a KILLED command’s model-facing body.
It must not read like a non-zero exit, because it is not one. A timeout is a fact about this tool’s gate: the command did not fail, did not finish, and reported nothing. A model that cannot tell the two apart has only one repair move — re-run the identical command — which is what makes a long build unappealable. So this text says three things the exit-code text never says: that the kill came from a BUDGET, what that budget was in ms, and what to do differently next time.
The move offered depends on whether there is headroom left: under the ceiling the model can ask
for more itself, and at the ceiling it cannot, so offering timeoutMs there would promise a move
that does not exist and cost a wasted turn discovering it.
