BinaryFormatType
BinaryFormatType =
"image"|"file"|"audio"|"video"|"binary"
Defined in: _worktrees/docs-release/gaunt-sloth/packages/core/dist/config/types.d.ts:742
Every format type the binary pipeline can MEET — deliberately wider than the set a config may declare.
image, file and audio are the deliverable three, and DELIVERABLE_BINARY_FORMAT_TYPES in
config/schema.js is the authority on that: a binaryFormats entry naming anything else is a
hard config error, because no provider’s message converter can build a request from it.
video and binary stay in this union because the code that RECOGNISES and refuses them needs
to be able to name them. They still arrive from a GthConfig an embedder built in code rather
than loading, which no loader has validated, and the injection boundary turns each into an error
naming the file and the configured type. Deleting them here would delete that handling instead of
the values, and the first casualty is getFormatForExtension’s last-resort bucket, whose loss
replaces a message naming the file and the format type with one naming neither.
