CFG-39 — the picker as TEXT: the selectable list printed in place of the interactive rows. The
readline session is what prints it, and that is where every --no-tui, piped / non-TTY, CI or
missing-Ink run lands.
A surface with no slash-command layer renders nothing from here, which the AG-UI server still
has none of. ACP is no longer in that set — [[EXT-142]] gave it one command, advertised through
available_commands_update — but it renders approvalsRefusalsNotice and deliberately not
this posture list, because the copy around it names a mode switch that surface does not offer.
Do not read a server’s tool-approval gate as this list arriving there either: that gate asks
about a single pending call in the protocol’s own request shape and carries no posture copy.
The same approvalPostureChoices the TTY picker renders, so the two cannot list different modes or describe them differently — the text fallback is a rendering of the picker, not a second implementation of it.
